UpCharge is a power bank sharing platform providing convenient, on-the-go charging solutions to smartphone users worldwide. With the pandemic subsiding and mobile charging solutions becoming increasingly necessary, the European market offers a unique opportunity for UpCharge to become a market leader. What upcharge offers?

UpCharge franchisees receive around 80% of net revenue, 24/7 help and support, tools for internal use, access to our app and consumer software, customer support, technical maintenance, liability insurance, a shared user base, and continuous R&D. Responsibilities include adding new venues, representing UpCharge, maintaining stations, and financing station purchases.

Fees & costs

Franchisees pay a 15% franchising fee, technical maintenance fee of 3 € per station, 0.25 € payment processing fee per transaction, and cover station costs. Referral fees apply when stations are deployed in referred locations. Fees are subject to renegotiation if underlying costs change significantly. Franchisee also covers the cost of hardware.

    For example :

    Let’s say you have a 1000 stations, generating 1 rent per station every day. If the average rental revenue is 3 € you can expect to generate 1 080 € annually per station. Of this UpCharge takes a flat 15% fee + 0,25 € per rent for payment processing + 3 € / month per station in maintenance fees. Thus after fees a station would generate 852 € annually after fees.

  • Franchisees are responsible for adding new venues to the network, representing UpCharge in their geographic area, maintaining stations in case of emergency, and financing the purchasing of stations.

  • UpCharge will provide guidance on selecting the best venues and locations, leveraging local knowledge and market insights. It's crucial to choose high-traffic areas with good visibility and accessibility for customers.

  • The setup time depends on factors such as station procurement, venue negotiations, and installation processes. Once you've secured the necessary equipment and locations, setting up the stations and launching your franchise can be relatively quick.

  • As a franchisee, you'll have access to a suite of powerful tools and processes designed to help you manage and grow your business effectively. These tools include rent and user management, support ticket handling, report generation, venue and station management, and pricing customization.

  • Franchisees only startup cost is covering the cost of hardware. Cost of UpCharge stations varies on the amount of stations you are looking to deploy. Getting started costs from 150 € per station plus 12 € per power bank.
